So this way of writing words/characters is firmly in my head so I've seen it (I think/hope). I thought it was Chinese for the longest time but then I actually looked it up and found I was very wrong. Or at least it's not the Chinese/Japanese/Korean that Google Images kicked up.

It might be a specific dialect/type of print (for newspapers?).
It might be archaic (Ancient Egyptian, cuneiform).
It might be an old font (like 15+ years old).
It might be canon to some fiction (Klingon, Elvish, etc).

It has the lines and squiggles of an oriental language but everything is enclosed in a square. One square = one word, term or name.

Does it sound like anything you know?

EDIT:
I actually found something visual.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Names_of…
It's modern Chinese, but the last character on each line looks like what the entire language I'm thinking of does.

Artists who are willing to draw cosplay (commissioner's non-fan character in trademarked clothing) but not willing to draw fan characters that don't have any trademarked features.

Of course that the one I ran across tried to explain it on IP rights grounds just left me totally confused.

Had the strangest conversation.

I offered the starting bid for an adopt.
The owner came back and said he'd think about letting me have it because it was a low price.
I said that since the seller sets the prices the starting bid should be something they could accept as a sale price.
I got cussed out and something about 'all adopts are this way not just single price ones'.

I expected to be told that bidding would be X # of days or nothing until I won it/someone bid higher.

Has anyone encountered an adopt seller that won't accept the SB if that's the only bid after 2 weeks?
Sellers: is it normal not to accept the SB price if that's all that's offered?

I'm sure there was some English isn't their first language issues going on, but the basic question still remains for me as to why a SB would be given if that amount isn't acceptable.

Normally I would just brush it off but this is the second WTF conversation I've had on adops and their norms this week. As a buyer this concerns me. It's not good to be that out of the loop with sellers.
